Zhang's shaolin school , shao lin kung fu (gong fu) and tai chi (taiji) school is located in New Jersy, USA. A thirty second generation Shaolin Fighting Monk, Li Peng began his martial arts training at age five. When he was seven years old, he entered the world renowned Shaolin Temple Monastery, where he was given his monk name Shi Xing Peng, and followed a rigorous training regimen practiced there for the past 1500 years. By age sixteen, Li Peng was traveling internationally, demonstrating his exceptional ability of shaolin kungfu (gong fu) on behalf of the Shaolin Temple. For years, he toured three continents, visiting Austria, Belgium, Canada, England, Ireland, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Sweden and The Netherlands. Many of these performances have been internationally televised on the Eurosport Channel. At the Temple, zhang lipeng was appointed to High teacher status, and was featured in the shaolin kungfu documentary films about the Shaolin Temple, including the film Jet Lee, Shaolin Art of war. In 1996, zhang LiPeng returned to The Netherlands to establish permanent residence and open several shao lin KungFu schools. After establishing shao lin gong fu schools in Utrecht, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, 's Hertogenbosch, Gent, Antwerp and Essen, he established the First European Shaolin Martial Art Association to unify training among continental Shaolin schools. Taking his Association one step further, in 1998, he organized the first European Shaolin Martial Art Association demonstration and competition in Utrecht. Demonstrations were performed by guest Shaolin Monks from China and the United States, and over twenty schools participated in the shaolin competition. This shaolin gong fu and tai chi event made Shaolin history, insofar as it was the first time that a Shaolin Monk (zhang lipeng) left the temple and successfully organized an international event promoting Shaolin Kungfu. On a larger scale, Zhang LiPeng organized a group of Monks and was the featured performer in the Night of Shaolin show in Erfurt, Germany, on March 13, 1999. The monks demonstrated in the sold-out 6,000 seat Erfurt, Messehalle, and this show is now frequently aired on Eurosport. After many years of performing and organizing successful shows, Lipeng Zhang intends for European American Shaolin Productions to create a tour with even wider audience appeal. this tour will emphasize the rich tradition behind Shaolin Kung-Fu, which is more cultural heritage, than Martial art. Now, Shi Xing Peng (zhang lipeng) is living in New Jersey and hopes to give martial art, shao lin gong fu and taiji lessons to American students in New jersey ( NJ) and other places. Zhang lipeng 's goal is to teach students authentic shaolin Gong fu , and Tai-Chi so that these healthy cultural traditions can be understood and provide health benefits to Americans of all ages.
